1. INTRODUCTION

My name is Carolyn Carter and I am a Houstonian. I am a senior graduating in December! As far as educational writing I have taken both English Composition classes when I went to the University of Texas San Antonio my freshman year. I feel though that the most I ever learned in writing was from my English teacher my freshman year who only taught half a year of our upper level English class. She was truly an amazing English teacher that turned me onto writing. I have done a lot of personal writing and continue to do so. I usually use writing a way to express my feelings. I feel sometimes you have thoughts and feelings that just need to get out. So I'll rant to my computer and delete it. Or write a letter to someone but never give it to them, or write down a good thing that happened to me to always remember it. I have also dabbled in poetry from time to time. I enjoy writing. I find it to be fun most of the time. I feel writing is a great form of expression, especially when time and thought has been put into it. I feel am a stronger writer than a speaker. As far as easiness is concered I feel it depends on the topic. There have been times I have struggled with some topics and found those times that it is harder to write. It does not bother me to see on a syllabus that there are papers due during a course. I find writing to be better at times than tests. I hope to learn a better understanding of analyzing writings. I have been taught how to but I would like to go more into depth and learn more about analyzing and writing. I am taught the best with structure and notes. On a side note, I have never really understood why profesiors ask to tell them something interesting about you. So for me, I can move my eyes independently and fold my tongue in half, silly but true. I am also getting married in April!
